What is Padpaw?
Padpaw is a mobile Internet service that helps groups communicate and organize. Built around the existing capabilities of your mobile phone, it delivers timely information and messages to group members. Padpaw reduces the time and effort it takes to manage group members.
Communicate
Because its mobile, Padpaw can alert members to change in events and plans instantly through multiple channels; SMS, email, and soon IM. Padpaw also provides a message board that lets the organizer and members communicate with each other. The amount of information a member gets, and how they get it, is under their control.
Organize
Organizers can invite members directly to the site using SMS or email. Once the organizer has members, she can add events. Members are provided with event schedules that include maps, and driving directions based on the member's home address. Organizers can easily add and remove members from their mobile Internet enabled phone, or from the Padpaw "desktop" web site.
Padpaw's goal is to help real social networks reduce the amount of work getting members to "show up", and give them more energy to do the things they love to do.
